We brought Cepheus to my mum's place on saturday evening for dinner, we spent a good 4-5 hours there, and during this short trip, i have to prepare all of Cepheus staff plus my Medela pump as i will need to express milk for one of his feed at my mum's place.. it was very rush, as i have to time the timing real good and to estimate the time to return home for his second feed and milk expressing..Cepheus was really happy that day as he was passed from one hand to the other and enjoying loads of attention from my family.

On the last visit to Prof Prabha (Surgeon), he commented that Cepheus have a habit of turning his head to one side only and that we should start training him to sleep on the other side. Not sure why, but after the surgery, Cepheus have been turning to his right (where his cyst used to be) very often, almost always and refuse to turn to his left.. Dear bought a 'donut' pillow for Ceph as per advised by Prof and we tried to bring his head to his left.. however, seems in vain as Cepheus will use his mighty strength to always turn to his right after sleeping.. according to Prof, this may impair his neck muscle in future if he keeps doing that.. what else could we do to prevent that from happening??

Hi, my girl also does the same thing.
She like to sleep on one side only.
I have been advise to let her sleep on sarong swing to shape her head.
If not, when her skull fused up later, it will be too late and out of shape.
hi so you now let her sleep in the sarong aka 'yao lan' right? I am not so worried about the shape but more towards his neck muscle development. I find that it is very easy, almost too easy for his head to turn to his right side than his left.. and i am worried that he may be lazy to learn how to turn his head, once his muscle develop, it will be more difficult to train him to turn his neck/head already. And it is so difficult to give him tummy time to train his neck lifting nowadays as he is not able to turn to his left which is very worrying.. Do you give your babies tummy time yet?
Hi, we let our babies sleep yao lan mostly in day time or if they are unsettle.
I have not started them on tummy time as I felt their neck is not strong enough.
Sometimes, if my boy refuse to be burp, we will place him on his tummy and burp him.
He seems to like tummy position. 8-)
hi i just heard from my friend today that she did the same thing to her 5 mth old boy.. that is, place him on his tummy to burp.. first time i heard that it works.. doesnt he bring out milk if you put him on tummy just after feed? i heard from my massage lady too that if you put baby on tummy for naps, it helps their circulation better too..
Hi, burping from his tummy is the last resort we used if he still refuse to be burp and be unsettled.
So far, he did not vomit milk from tummy burp but sometimes a little milk might flow out. Not often.
Also, tummy burp is one of the method shown on Dunstan Baby Language DVD to burp baby after feeds.
