was slapped SGD 130 for driving in bus lane. Writing in appeal letter to LTA. Wish me luck!
Dear Sir/Mdm,
I am writing this letter to appeal the fine given to me for driving inside the bus lane dated 6th May 2010. The incident happened around 6pm. It did not occur to me that the last lane after the traffic light is a designated bus lane until I changed the lane after being behind a lorry in the second lane at the traffic lights junction. As there are vehicles on my right side, I did not manage to filter out of the lane in time. As my intention is to turn left quickly into Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 carpark (in front of Courts after the bus stop) and I did not manage to filter back into the right lane in time, I continued in my course and kept left as I am approaching the left entrance into the car park less than 100m away. I also made sure that I wasn’t blocking any bus in doing so. I regretted my action and I will not repeat it again. As this is my first offence, I sincerely hope that you would consider my appeal.
Thank you for your time in reading and considering my appeal and hope to receive a favorable response from you.
